Experience the city with heart - Get valuable advance information about our sights or dive into the virtual world of Bad Neustadt. We show you what makes Bad Neustadt so lovable.

Our Hohntor is worth an experience. Built around 1580, you can experience real medieval flair here. The building is complemented by magnificent buildings such as the Old Amtshaus and the two inns "Schwan&Post" and "Goldener Löwe".

With the "Marktbärbel" in the centre, the market square is the busiest place in Bad Neustadt all year round. Eating ice cream, sunbathing or celebrating at the Thursday concerts in summer are part of the daily hustle and bustle here. In addition, there are always changing markets, which make up the flair of a small Franconian town.

With a length of 1.5 kilometres, the heart-shaped, medieval city wall is still completely preserved. The medieval building can be admired wonderfully during a walk around the old town.

Only a few metres away from the market place is the imposing building from which the town's events are directed by the mayor and the town administration. In the spacious meeting room, which has a very special charm, important decisions of the city council are still passed today.

In the direct neighbourhood of the town hall you will also find the district administration office, which also belongs to the sights of Bad Neustadt due to its architectural style.

At the upper edge of the old town stands the Catholic parish church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary with its imposing columns in the nave. Here, on the highest point of the town hill, one can immerse oneself in the medieval building culture, which can be seen in the foundations of the Oswald Church and the Bildhäuser Hof.

With several baroque wooden altars, one of the most beautiful baroque pulpits in Bavaria by Johann Josef Kessler and an excellently preserved baroque organ, the church, which is located directly next to the town hall, is definitely worth a visit.

Our gastronomy in Bad Neustadt has all this to offer. From typical regional to Italian, Chinese or Greek cuisine, Bad Neustadt is thus ideally positioned on the culinary level. Whether it's a rustic inner courtyard, a traditional vaulted cellar or cosy evenings under the open sky on the market square, no wish remains unfulfilled in Bad Neustadt.

Just a relaxing walk through the Saale meadows of the city away lies the castle Neuhaus. Today the elegant late baroque building is a popular wedding location, as weddings can be held in the small castle chapel or in the middle of the park under the fixed pavilion. The large spa gardens are a wonderful place to relax and unwind.

On the Salzburg you can not only get a breathtaking view of Bad Neustadt from above. You can also experience the charm of the mighty castle complex with its imposing court gate and castle chapel.
